Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Products

Photovoltaic panels convert sunlight into electricity and are without a doubt the most exciting product of all the renewable energy technologies. The science in this field keeps moving forward with many new products coming to market each year.  The continued advancement of Solar PV technology has resulted in greater system efficiencies and dramatically reduced manufacturing costs.

Solar PV panels and systems are available in a wide variety of sizes, configurations, and storage capacities to suit any electrical system requirement, on or off-grid.  This means that a Solar PV system can be designed specifically for your home or off-grid cabin, and can save you tens of thousands of dollars over the course of your home ownership.  Solar PV is an intelligent, easy to install, and environmentally conscious addition to any home.  Contact us to find out more about how we can help you power your home using solar energy.

Grid-Connected Applications

A grid-connected application refers to a independent system that is connected to the local electric utility’s infrastructure.  The independent system will draw from the grid during times when the solar PV system  is unable to satisfy the electricity demand in the building and will feed electricity back into the grid during times of excess production.  Most homes are grid-connected unless they are located in a remote area far from  any transmission lines, in which case they would be off-grid applications (see below).

A Solar PV system will produce energy for the various electric equipment and appliances in your home, from computers, to dishwashers, to ceiling fans.  You can even use Solar PV for gate openers and landscape lighting.

Solar PV will save you money on your electricity bill by producing power for your home and only drawing from the utility grid when necessary to satisfy peak demand.  In addition, Solar PV will actually help you earn money by feeding electricity back into the grid during times of excess production.  Your utility provider pays you to produce energy for the grid!

Off-Grid Applications

Off-grid systems provide power to buildings that are not connected to a utility grid, such as a remote cabin or vacation home on the islands. These systems collect energy during the day when the sun is shining and stores the converted electricity in a battery bank for later use.  This way, a reliable and environmentally friendly source of energy is available to you at all times.
